The core adventure of the Mermaid Experience is Self-Discovery through play. In our busy culture, we can easily forget who we REALLY are. By embodying the mermaid archetype, we begin to remember that we’re bigger than our personalities, our bodies, our thoughts, or our emotions. Our play naturally reveals our purpose here and the some of the greatest gifts we came to offer. Each mermaid is unique. For those who feel at home in water -- the water offers sanctuary, release and revitalization. It is said in Egypt that water was given to our souls in compensation for our taking on physical form.

For those who long for connection to their own bodies, after living in their head all day long, the mermaid movement offers integration and power from our very core. For those who long for connection to others, the mermaid offers sisterhood that supports each other’s beauty without competition.

Self-Love

For those who long for self-love, bring a mirror and really get how magnificent you are. Mermaids come in all sizes. For those who long for freedom, the mermaid has no limitations. She can live in two worlds and shapeshift when necessary. She is here both to enjoy herself and to be of service to other beings. “Working hard” is not part of her repertoire. Dancing and singing are more aligned with her soul.

Even in the pitch blackness 80 feet below the surface of Puget Sound, the garden of giant sea plumes glow bright white and sway.
